Default Intake manifold question?

Hey guys, quick question...

Will any Edelbrock Intake manifold fit under my original L-48 hood of my 1973 vette?

Or will I have to buy an aftermarket hood?

Thanks

Yeah, I'm pretty sure a Performer will fit under there.

I have a performer on my 79 L-48. I did have to get a drop base air cleaner for it. I have an Eldebrock 600 carb.

On my '76, performer fit with stock air cleaner. The Performer RPM will not fit with the stock air cleaner.

a plain performer will fit all sbc C3 ... but it alone won't add or free-up any seat of the pants performance.

The performer fits but the air induction for the hood won't let the hood shut.

This is on my 1975.

I run a performer eps with a edelbroick 1406 on my 79. You don't need an adapter with it.I also use the stock dual snorkel air cleaner

Yep, have a good one for sale too ... cheap. Pretty sure it's square-bore only; not for OE QJet.

Wouldn't that qualify as not fitting? I mean, how can you say it fits if the hood won't shut? I'm not trying to be a wise-guy here, maybe I'm missing something.
