Default 70 diff on a 72 Corvette

Can I put a 70 diff (2CAM 3 3 70 W) 0n a 72 corvette-350/350???

Yes, all 65-79 rears are basically the same.

63-64 rears fit, but are different internally.

Has anybody pictures of change of rearweel bearings,what i have heard is a big job!?!?

Only difference may be the pinion flange. If the 70 diff came from a 4 speed car you will have to change the flange or get a conversion u-joint.

The 63-64 posi unit, ring and pinion, etc. are different. The 63-64 is a Dana unit, while 65-79's use an Eaton. There are very few parts available for a 63-64 rear, but they can be updated by installing 65 up components in them.

The 63-64 Dana unit is very weak. Odds are it has already been changed out with an eaton unit.

So if mine has held up behind a zz502 for the last 2 years, it's safe to assume that it's been changed out?
