Dewitts radiator questions

Got a direct fit for my '77. I am very pleased with it but have not installed it yet. My questions; Can you paint the tanks and upper rail? I like the look of the aluminum but can not decide if I will like it when installed. Anybody got a pic. of an unpainted one installed in a '76-'79? Also this model has a two sized upper hose connection for the smaller hose on '78-'82. Can/should I remove the smaller end or will it not cause any flow restriction? Do not want to void any warranty before I even get it installed. Thanks, mike...

The car is the wrong year for you, but here are a few shots of an unpainted direct fit.
