When I get it back I'll follow up here and let y'all know how it all works out. Thanks to everyone for the information and advice
I'm all in for a follow-up and pictures.

Here are some before pics

There is an inch difference. No shims on either upper control arm.

I'll post after pics tomorrow afternoon when I get my Vette back

As promised, here is the follow up after the work was done. I'm well pleased

Shims passenger:

Shims driver:

Drivers side:

Passenger side:

Overall a good improvement. Still a difference in height side to side, but no where near as pronounced, more like 1/2" now give or take a 1/16"

I would recommend this to anyone that is having issues with shimming the front, I had the car back 3 hrs or so after I dropped it off.

I'm still here, just don't post often anymore, mostly read.

I took the car to an alignment shop and they used a frame machine to pull it back into spec. Took 3 hrs from the time I dropped it off until I picked it back up. Still fixed to this day with no further issues.

Get a speedirect front spreader bar for the front shock towers for about $120....one of the best upgrades you can do for $100 and will help stabilize the front shock towers leaning inwards.....Greatly helps stiffen the front cradle, aiding handling, steering response, ride, and squeaks.................

This was my first attempt to contact someone on this forum. I do not know the procedure at this time. Was the comment directed towards me?

Thank you for the reply.... i have my motor out there is a stack of shims on back upper control arm on right side and d wheel sits back roughly 1/2 inch in wheel well. i have an appointment with frame shop in 2 weeks so for now im trying to clean and inspect fame ect. The measurement between upper control arm towers is 26 1/8 with motor out. I would imagine it to be less with engine weight. I would like to know how to make sure the lower a arm frame mounts are straight? Is there a place to measure and or a certain distance from back bolt across to the other? The welds look suspect and believe i minor crack on the the side in cross member... The under side has been dented due to my own lack of knowledge 20 years ago as well.... any info is greatly appreciated
thank you,
Shannon

shannon1970 - yes, my apologies, I guess I should have "addressed" you by name. I quoted your statement so I was hoping you'd know it was addressing you. I'll try to remember to address folks in the future.

That part was not directed to you. He was commenting on the fact that Photobucket made some policy changes and he (and many other people) can no longer see the pics which are stored in photobucket servers.

But, everybody who does not see the pics should google "photobucket fix" and get a specific browser extension for their web browser which fixes the issue. For example I can see the pics just fine with Firefox + the extension. But I cannot see them with Safari as there is no fix for Safari, or at least there wasn't when I checked the last time.
