81 4 sp question

hi all.

need help with linkage adjustment am having trouble getting out reverse it getting jam between two gears also i feel to much play

put it in neutral, place all levers on trani case straight up and look for a loose bolt holding on or more of the shift lever arms to the shafts coming out of the trani.

thanks for responding , yes that how i get it out from both gears , but i notice that the reverse level is sticking on the crossmember stoppning it from fully disengaging out of revrese don't no know if there some type of bushing there
