Quadrajet Idle Stop Bracket
I'm needing an idle stop solenoid bracket for a Quadrajet. So far the only one I've seen screws to the front of the carb on the linkage side and also has a little tab that sticks through the bracket. My Quad doesn't have the little tab neither is the hole tapped for the screw. I thought about making one that would be held down by the front bolt. What have some of you done for this?

I'd look for a local Carb Rebuild shop in your area and check with them.

But, if you find one, the carb body still isn't made to mount it properly. And, if you try to drill/tap holes in the carb body, you may just end up with a leaky carb. Not sure how to resolve your problem. Keep looking; maybe you can find a complete carb/bracket for your year, then sell the one you have. Or, if you can make such hardware, get the dimensions you need to position the idle stop correctly and create one that looks similar and does the job.
