Default "76 Neutral Safety Switch

In replacing this switch for my automatic, I'm having a problem disconnecting the back-up light electrical plugs between the switch and console connector. The neutral switch connector has a tab holding the 2 plugs in place, which I easily disconnected. However, I don't see anything holding the 2 connectors together for the back-up plugs, yet I can't get them apart. Can anyone shed any light on this? And yes I know I can splice the new switch in place but prefer not to do it.

Jud your just going to have to pull, there is no tab. Use 2 pair of pliers so you don't pull on the wires themselves.

Thanks, Roger. I tried that with no luck but we'll give it another shot. Those suckers are really together and there's so little room to get at them. Funny that the neutral switch wire connectors are held with a tab, but not the light connectors. Perhaps the guy who decided to flip the neutral switch wires had a hand in designing these plugs (lol). Again, many thanks.
