Default touch up paint

who carries touch up paint? i called a few of teh usual corvette suppliers to try and order a bottle of touch up paint for my 68 (992 code),,, nobody seems to carry it, and one guy said he could order it, to be drop shipped to me...
i was hoping to pick it up at carlisle, but i can't find anyone that has it to bring,,,
so, who is the supplier? where do you guys get touch up paint?

thanks,
john

I went to a local automotive paint store. They used their color analyzer on the gas door that I brought in and determined it was GM Riverside Gold (I knew that already) code 980. They mixed me up a small bottle and an aerosol can. The bottle is pretty much dried up now, but the aerosol is still good after ~3 years.
This is the stuff http://www.kpg-industrial.com/produc...lend_ez_touch/
Color match is very good, but not like a professional painter could match.

I have to agree with Pete, the best way to get a good match is to let them scan the paint on the car vs. buying a premixed color. We sell the stuff and still tell the local customers to go down the street to the local paint shop.

Why... Because if it is not close a good mixer can make slight changes to tweak it for you. But with the new scanners they have I think they boast about a 98 percent accuracy rate.

I know we've had good luck with it.

I was under the impression that Graingers was a business to business supplier; not open to the general public. Have they changed their policy lately?
