can you sandblast chrome and powder coat over it...... my rims are chrome and have some issues with pitting/etc due to being in the snow for 6 years.... i was thinking of powdercoating them black to go with the theme of the car...
yeah, i'm over the chrome look... always liked black chrome..... i just found a local PC guy so I might give him a ring.. then find cost on remounting the tires/etc...
i'm leaning more towards the black/green combo now... i do have some chrome rear suspension parts and some chrome in the engine bay.....i would like to get some new rims, but funds are limited right now..
Chromes a pretty slick surface to be coating over, but if blasting, probably be fine. Maybe consider Jet-Hot ceramic too. While mostly for exhaust headers and such, will blast and coat anything.
