Do a search, probably ten thousand hits. Find the leak, probably the actuator seals.

Could be one or more vacuum leaks. Could be crud in the relays causing the piston valves to move slowly. Could be a combination of things.

You're in for some troubleshooting. This might help:

Good luck!

Hi jman,
Perhaps you should consider buying a vacuum pump, $, (like a mity-vac), which will enable you to test the relays, (if your year has 2), and actuators, using one of the trouble shooting guides.
This will allow you to know if you have parts that just need new seals, $, or if you need to buy new parts,$$.
Good Luck!
Regards,
Alan

Agreed. Get a vac pump. I got a mity-vac and a Harbor Freight vac pump.

I replaced the actuator seals, then rebuilt the relays. My hoses were ok.

Mine now pop up quickly although one of my relays still leaks a bit. Much better than when I got the car.
