Default Antenna wireless switch

I bought a power antenna from KapsSA and it works great, nice clear clean sound a used antenna that is a good as new.

Anyway I don't like the antenna going up every time I turn on the head unit as I usually listen to CD's and in that case I would like the antenna down.

I have a wireless key fob activated switch. It simply lets the voltage go through or not just like turning on the light on a lamp. It has one red hot wire coming in and a white "out" wire going out.

I would like to know if, how, and which wire I can cut and insert this switch. I have tried the remote wire and that does not work. There are only 2 wires to be concerned with since one is ground. That is the power wire connected to an "ignition on" fuse and the remote wire which is also used to connect to my amplifier.

Any help is appreciated

The yellow coming from the radio to the relay either gets 12v or a ground to tick the relay, what did you try ?

EDIT - Just looked at the diagram, the yellow needs 12v to tick the relay.
I would think if your key fob turns 12v on and off it should work fine.

The more I think about it the more complex it becomes. It needs a remote 12V and key activated 12V. Now if one or both go to ground when the radio is turned off it becomes a little more complicated as all I have is a closed-12V / open - open circuit switch.

I have an electronics background so I will be able to figure it out. I have only spent 5 minutes playing with the remote wire which did nothing.

I was hoping someone else had done this so I could save some time and wouldn't have to go through it with a meter

In short, some kind of on/off switch spliced into the yellow going to the antenna relay will work.
With it 'on', antenna will work as designed, with it 'off' it will keep it down.

I have a Pioneer and the wire color is different. I installed a rocker switch in the wire from the stereo that power the antenna. I leave it off while listening to CD's and the antenna only goes up when I turn the switch on. You're trying to complicate a simply on/off switch.

Very good, thanks guys, I was trying to take it a step further and raise and lower it with the switch, but what you guys are saying is much simpler I just disconnect the power wire if I want it down and reconnect it if I want it to work normally, it's the engineer in me trying to complicate things
