C3 engine offset, 1 1/4"?

C3 engine offset, 1 1/4"?
Is it 1 1/4"? Looks to be about that from my measurements.

yes the engine is off set i do not know the measurements exactly but that seems right to me

Yes, the offset is actually slightly over 1" from the vehicle centerline. The purpose of the offset is to gain foot clearance for the driver as well as additional space for the clutch pedal on manual transmission models.

I had to deal with the offset when I made a cold air intake that draws air from above the radiator. I wasn't aware of the offset and made it to be square with the radiator mount. I don't remember the exact adjustment I had to make, but 1 1/4" seems about right.

Here's a pic of the engine mounts. Notice the difference in length between the two.

The offset also compensates for driver's weight being off center.
