I'm still trying to understand what this part is. I switched to a weiand manifold and switching over what needs to switch over while eliminating what I can. This part is still on the factory manifold and if you can tell, its cracked. The port where it'll go is currently blocked just so we could get the car started, so what is it and can I leave it off or do I need it?
On another note, if you're aware of the problems I've been having from other posts, the new manifold is on with the Edelbrock carburetor and the new distributor and the car fired up on the very first try and stayed running! It would have never done that before; I'd have had to crank it a few times and stay on the gas until it got warmed up. Pictures of the new setup will come when I have time and daylight to take them.
It was either for the computer or the emissions. Your temp sender for your guage should be in your cylinder head so not using this / plugging the hole should be fine since all the computer stuff and emissions stuff is gone. G
