Default Wheel oxidation?

I have attached a picture of one of my wheels that has some white/green scale on it. I'm not sure what it is or how to clean it and prevent it from happening again.

Those look like original "Western Wheels", I used "Eagle One" etching mag cleaner and they clean up bright white with that product.

I had them power coated and CNC'ed

The grayish and whitish stuff are just oxidized aluminum. You can use cleaners or a brass wire brush (a steel brush will put dark marks on aluminum) to remove that oxidation. Or you can just brush off the loose stuff and leave it there, if you are going to paint over it.

I have used Blue Magic metal cleaner and had great results. Leaves a silcone film behind that has made for easy cleaning and prevented brake dust from building.

This stuff works great also. There is also a demo link 1/2 way down the page.
