Default 76 Bumpers

Gang:

Need to replace front and back bumpers as mine are shot.
What is the consensus on this? I was thinking about the Toledo Tru-Fit.

Any comments?

There is no consensus. Use what you want. Stock style urethane might be a little easier to install. Fiiberglass reproduction will require hand fitting.

Very true Mike! The fiberglass or flexy-glass covers will in most case require some sort of body work do a perfect install since they are more rigid than the original covers.

They do however offer a wave free installation.

There are so many variances in the cars and how the original bumpers fit when new. The urethane covers could be pulled, pushed or what ever it took to get them close.. (will cause waves) but in most cases close was all you got! In some cases they didn't even get close and a perfect example is the low mileage 78 in my shop is 5/8" on the passenger side front from the factory. There is no shrinkage on this car what so ever and it has been stored in a climate controlled environment for most of its life and the bumper fit is horrible.

I like the Toledo covers, they do seem to fit better than any other brand we have installed.

We have the Toledo brand flexy covers in the forum sale section of the site too! Plus with the current sale you'll save an additional 10 percent off the price when you enter the coupon code.

The link below will take you to the right area.

Do you make the 1980 front end that fits the 1976 in Tru-Flex?
I bought the Ecklers version and it is going back today.

It so far away from anything you would consider reasonable fitment.

I have the Truflex on the rear and just eye balling it I can tell it's going to work out great.

I don't mind the 1976 front except for the fangs!!
