Default Plug Wires through the motor mounts ?

I'm tuning up my new purchase ('72 L48) and have found my old wires in bad shape. The front wires appear pinched when routed through the motor mounts Should I go beside the mounts instead? Any tips on this task would be great.

Thanks,Barry

The stock routing on a small block was up thru the motor mount.

You can remove the boot and run thru the mount, then slide the boot
back on.

Hi Barry,
If you want to keep the stock appearance you can also run the front 2 wire on each side by starting at plug end and running the distributor end of the wire through the engine mount. The distibutor boot is smaller and softer than the plug boot.
Good Luck!
Regards,
Alan

What Alan said. It is time consuming but not difficult.

Did it on my 70 350/350.

i know your stock wires will fit. i just ran a set of moroso ultra 40s with 90* boots on both ends, through my motor mounts. now those were a real bitch. i found the best way to push them through is to just slather them up in wd40 and then theylll slide right through the mount.
