While I'm replacing my control arm bushing I was checking them for straightness. I noticed that the upper aft end of the LF control arm is bent approx. .060". Is this still useable or should I replace?
Re: Upper Control Arm bent (Use or Replace)? (Ybnormal)
Hard to say without seeing it but that little bit could proably be adjusted for with a good alignment as long as the integrity is not compromised. When in doubt though.
Chances are it was probably like that for a long long time. Assuming the car drove straight, you're probably ok.
Re: Upper Control Arm bent (Use or Replace)? (Ybnormal)
Before I became smart enough to add the braces while pressing out my bushings I bent one of my uppers as well. Threw it back in and have not had any problems.
I don't remember by how much it was bent though. Seems to me mine was more than .06"
