Man, I love it. To get on the highway and put the car in 6th and cruise at 1700 rpm is awesome. It's still loud as hell around town with the open headers, though, so I'm anxious to get the exhaust finished.
Those headers looks great. I just wish someone would make a decent set for under car exhaust guys. I am looking to have to modify my current ones or have a custom set made. Big $$$. Buils looks great.
Sounds like you wear a smile every time you take it out, that makes every penny worth it. For me it's hard not to have a smile, my face ussually hurts buy the end of every ride. Lol
If you have the money to have the harness rewired, spend it. By the time you add up all the fuse boxes, relays and the extra wires, you will find that it was not worth your time.
I had mine done by current performance, and for what I spent, I think I did alright. After getting it back and seeing what was done, the only regret I have is I wish I made myself clearer on were I wanted the controls, other than that current did a nice job. In the end when looking at what I received, I only spent about $200 in labor and the rest in parts.
How many hours will you spend on this harness, how much hair will you lose, if you're a busy person it's not worth the hassle.
There are several shops doing the harnesses and at different prices as well. Some will rework your old harness, and some can build you a new harness.
In what ever you decide to do, make sure you chose not to locate the ECU, and fuse center on the driver side fender, either locate it inside the car or on the passenger side in the engine bay.

Riggs,
How has your harness worked out. I'm sending mine off to Current Performance and was just wondering. I'm having the 2010 Grand Sport Dry Sump ECU and removing all the other BS and having the basic tune at this point. Thanks.

I have no real complaints, they did exactly as I asked them, there was some confussion about two of the wired that went under the dash but they cleared it up quickly for me. I feel that they where great to deal with and would use them again.

Thanks for the feedback. I'm looking forward to getting it back and starting up the LS after a year out of the box.
Ran into a problem today with my LS swap in my 78 vette. Using Holley Accessory Drive Kit bracket part 20-135 and a stock corvette 97 PS pump, when mounted to the cylinder head the power steering pulley hits my A arm. Tried to located a different pulley today with out much success. I need about 1" smaller diameter with the same offset so the belt lines up. I get a warning in the instructions that this could be problem ,but no help in identifying a cross reference pulley.
Looking back, I think I could have and should have changed the crank pulley to the LS pulley which would have moved the brackets closer to the engine and they might have cleared the A arms. Probably interfered with something else so onward with the swap.

If I had the stock upper A-arms in my car, and all shimmed out, I would probably have the same problem. But I don't. I have the adjustable A-arms, for which there are a couple of sources, Savitske being one. No shims. I did have to trim the bolt a bit to get adequate clearance. A bigger change than you probably would like but there is a way out I'm guessing.
I going to try and source a smaller pulley. Got a Dorman 300-310 which is the correct OD and bore ID just need the offset to be different. Going to get the dorman 300-123 and make a bushing.
I can't wait for your results.
You will love the LS power in the C3.

Well I finally got my harness back. What did you do to wire the volt meter to the alternator for the stock gauge. The Alt. plug from the harness plugs in just fine, but I need to get my gauge connected. Also, the crank start wiring;I believe is the big Purple wire in my 70, did you hook that up to the starter or the wiring in the harness. Almost ready to fire.
