6500 tach
Okay all you numbers matching experts, I've got a good question for you. I recently bought a '69 vette which appears to be totally numbers matching. It is supposed to have a 5600 RPM redline tach but has a 6500 RPM redline tach. Is it a possible factory mistake or is this a tach that was changed at some point. It doesn't really matter, I'm just curious. The car is a 427/400 4spd coupe. Thanks

any of the things you stated, factory did make mistakes, could have been change at last minute on engine, most likely replaced due to broke and 6500 all someone could find, also might have been refurbished and done that way. Last maybe car was orignally 435 car, but not likely if your numbers appear to match. Enjoy! :cool: :cool:
