Default Door Issue

I have a 1968 with a very rusted frame. The passenger door will not open. The latch is working, I have jacked it up to relieve the stress on the door and it still won't open. Without wrecking the door or quarter, any ideas?

Hi l,
You say the latch is working... what about the lock ****? Is the **** actually pushing the rod that unlocks the latch when you turn it?
Merry Christmas!
Regards,
Alan

Default door

Alan, I can see the latch working. When I turn the **** it don't move. I am guessing that with it trying to fold up, there is a bind in it. Thanks! Tim

Default 68

Yes, If it was not in near perfect condition I would rip it off and get in that way.

Hi l,
I think then your best hope is to flood the latch mechanism with wd40 and try to get the lock **** working.
You MIGHT be able to reach down along the inside of the glass (long thin tool like a hacksaw blade) and push on the lever that the rod from the lock **** attaches to in order to unlock the latch.
Regards,
Alan

Default 68 door

I looked at a spare I had and seen how far it has to go to open, I pulled the inside latch handle as far as it would go and put a large screwdriver on the latch inside the door and pushed a bit further and it clicked open.
