I am pretty new to Corvettes, but not cars. Today I removed all my rear suspension and all of the bushings need to be replaced. I have searched and read everything I could find, but still confused. I have found three different types of bushings for the trailing arm. One is rubber which requires a special tool, one is Polyurethane which comes with the tool and one from Energy Suspension that requires no tool.
which is is best and will they all work if installed properly?
New to forum,. but have gained much from the search. Thanks, Dave.
We will not install poly bushings in our shop on the trailing arms.
We use a different tool then what we sell, but we do this quite often vs. the one, two or four times a customer may use it. But if you look at the tool on our site, you'll get an idea of how it works.
Poly bushings do not allow the T/A to flex with camber changes as the arms move up and down. Rubber was in there from the factory and has lasted....how many years? Why change that now?
