is it stock or moddified if origional id start with replacing vacume line they get brittle and create a leak causing a lean condition and rough idle new cap and rotor use a hp module (Msd) and a adjustable advance spring kit to fine tune your total timing use a low temp thermostat 160-180 if you still have a q jet pull it off tighten the screws on the bottom they work loose over time u can adjust the secondary opening speed on the pass side of carb loosin the tension theen drive it once it gets to normal temp floor it if it boggs tighing the screw till there s no hesitation
