Default Monroe 5906 vs 5906ST
Does anyone know the difference between Monroe 5906 and 5906ST shocks. Some stores list the 5906 shock for C3 Corvette and some list 5906ST. Can't seem to find anything on net that explains the difference. Does anyone know the difference? Thanks.

Nothing.

The ST = Sensa-Trac which the 5906 is. Probably do it so if you search it does not come up at other vendors that list the correct 5906 number.

Sensa-Trac is an hydraulic shock...not gas. IMO, gas is a much better technology.

I believe they are gas, Monroe-matic is hydraulic and a lot cheaper

Thanks, I confirmed with Monroe today there is no difference. The same shock.

The 'bio' on the shock says it contains "All Weather Fluid". If that means 'gas', so be it....
