Re: Well, It's Time To Post The Damage (bence13_33)
Steve Straus:
The more I got to thinking about it, the Torker II was a mistake....now I get to correct that mistake :reddevil. I'm probably going to go with a Victor Jr. intake. Have you got the 468 straightened around?
I found a place to do the exhaust. After that I'm ready to fire it up. I want to get the interior done before I tow it anywhere, and I'm just waiting on the sound deadener for the carpet. It should be here this week.
Other than the hood that was my only problem.
Glad you got this thing running. Just be a good boy and wait for it to break in before you open it up.
Re: Well, It's Time To Post The Damage (bence13_33)
Bence, whichever of my cars previous owners who put the 454 in fabricated the cowl induction onto a stock wiper door delete hood. I think you can buy the scoup part from jegs,etc.... There was a guy on here a while back, Chris Breaux, he had a scoup similar to mine only it was a little taller and not as rounded. Alot of people don't like high rise hoods, but I don't see much other choice if want to get the most out of a big block.

You got out of it REAL cheap, IMHO! BTW, that list is parts ONLY.......how about labor? How many hours? Your time is worth something..........?????
P.S.
If a 502/502 doesn't impress you, come on up for a ride. It sure impressed the big Kawasaki we blew off on the interstate. When you reach 30 or 40 mph over the 140 speedo in a matter of a few seconds, I guarantee you'll be singing a different tune.
Good luck with that BB, Shane! You're gonna love it!
