The filter is a 2 piece thing. 1 is a cap the other a resistor. Radio shack use to carry the needed parts if you wanted to build one but I think they stopped carrying one or both now.

I am at work so I don't have the specs but they are out there.

The filter is simple and the schematic is at this website:

Or, if you don't want to DIY, buy one from Willcox. If you DIY, just clean out the stuff in the filter 'container', install new circuit, and fill it with potting material. Use good quality components and use 1 watt resistors (instead of 1/2 watt).

thanks,
I mean that because I'm leaving in France and when we buy components from America, all prices increase much. I need a tach filter because I changed the tacho of my vette 73 for a 75 tacho, electronic. I connect all things, my new tacho is working well but 2 things hapenned:
1- when I stop the engine the needle does'not go to the 0 position.
2- When the engine is running, I think the needle is not fixed in the rpm position.
Ther is no filter on the line distributor/tacho so I have to put some and I woulde know what value had the filter in microfarad or else. So I don't need to order in America, I can buy in France.
thanks

Cut a short length of PVC pipe and stuff the circuitry in there and fill it with potting material or silicone caulk. Run the 'in' and 'out' wires to the appropriate points and get a tube clamp to mount the thing to the rear of the intake manifold. It should get the job done.
