I still remember a friend of my brothers (they were in Highschool, I was 12 or 13) taking me for a ride in a blown Nova. I know it was a Nova, but the paint was imaculate and a chrome blower stuck out of the hood. That was the coolest ride ever and probably still the fastest car I've ever riden in.
What's wrong with a Nova? :jester Heck I use to dream of owning a 66 Nova SS in High School, because I knew there was no way in heck I could afford a vette. I still like um...very easy to make very fast cars out of those. A 396 late 60s Nova won the Muscle Car Stock shoot outs several years in a row (low 12s and high 11s) before a Hemi Cuda came along and finally beat him. I like Vettes best, but I could handle having a Nova parked next to the vette pretty easily.

I remember a guy showing me his '65 396 with factory sidepipes, redline tires. The car was gleaming black. I was maybe 12. The guy fired his car up for a moment.

When I rode off on my bike, I thought 'I'm going have one of these, some day.'

We went on a Rallye with the Club a couple of months ago and here we all are cruising thru a neighborhood looking for the clues and all the kids are going ape. There were about 24 cars C2s up thru C5s and the kids loved it. It was a great day.
