ball joint bolt direction

Default ball joint bolt direction
Hi all,on the upper ball joint ( on a 1978, when replacing ) the bolts that hold the ball joint to the control arm go in so the nuts are on top. The lower ball joint bolts go in so the nuts are on the inside of the control arm. Am I right or wrong ? Thanks

Nuts on the inside on the lowers, on the bottom on the uppers.
