Cant get power steering control valve off!!!

Update: Everything is installed, fluid has been filled and is maintaining proper level. Valve/piston has been balanced. While the car was still up on the stands I turned the wheel in both directions to bleed the system and I could hear a creeking noise, other wise no problems. When I lowered the car and turned the wheels in both directions the noise was gone. Was it because the ball joint bolt wasn't completely seated into the pitman arm until the weight of the vehicle was applied? any other possiblilties?
I did notice it pulls a little to the left, will have to get it alligned. That could be the result of not being able to get the pscv threaded on as far as the old one.
