If you buy these valve covers http://www.summitracing.com/parts/EDL-4443/ think how you're planning to refill your crankcase after an oil change. PCV sized holes are quite small to fit a decent funnel in. You really should have one of the valve covers with 2 holes, one for the PCV valve or breather and a bigger sized hole to dump in your engine oil.

The PCV valve outlet is connected to the large fitting on the carb base plate. It is at manifold vacuum level, but that nipple is intended only for the PCV purge line. A 'ported' vacuum fitting is connected to the fuel vapor canister [vacuum operated] switch.
