Should be reworded from "very capable of low 12's with slicks."
to
"very capable of low 12's when dropped from an airplane."
Someone should email him and say you have a friend in Tampa that wants to come test drive it. I'll go check it out. Better bring a helmet though (and earplugs)

When are these people going to learn?!? :mad No matter how hard you try you just can't polish a turd! No matter how fast you make it, how many spoilers you put on it, the racing strips, etc, etc.. it's still going to be a F'n civic! Corvette Killer my behind! :conehead
If there is anyone in his area that would give him the chance to "Kill" a Corvette and can show him what's up that would be totally  Maybe even get him to race for pink slips
I dont know guys I have a Corvette and it's killing me!!!!
Well, I gotta tell ya. I read that Kill Story thread and MitchellDavidson had it coming to him. First, he needs to learn how to spell. His sig pic has him saying "Dam Rice". Now, being that a dam is a large structure built to hold back liquids, I'm not really sure what he means unless he meant "Damn Rice". Then his sig lists NO horsepower mods but he's working on the audio?!!!! Now THAT sounds like a ricer!!!! A stock C5 is not THAT fast that you can assume you're going to beat everything out there modified or not. And then, he just looked like a joke setting all sorts of terms designed to assure him an edge for the race against a Turbo Civic. To top it off, he got beat.
Now, I do admit that there are some VERY fast foreign cars out there, but I agree with the previous post, you're still driving a tin can designed and built as an economy car. I don't care how fast it is.
Well, although I agree with all of you, I have to say one thing. The attitude oozing out of this thread is what makes people hate Corvettes and their owners. They think that we think every other car is inferior to our Corvettes. I'm not sure where they get that idea from??? :p:
I do have to say though, I'm extremely sick of these sticker covered, big damn spoiler and fart can wearing rice burners. I have no problem with your every day civic or CRX, but it's those that are completely loaded with crap to give the illusion of speed that make me :U and the attitude of these guys (like the one from that eBay auction) are just as bad as the attitude they think all of us have.
I don't see mention of any superchargers, NOS, or turbo in this description of changes to the engine:
"This is a ls/vtec with with srp 10.5:1 compression bored over .20. It has eagle rods and new valve springs. The head is off a 92 gsr 1.7 ltr. It has sir cams. other mods are... Hasport motormounts b16 tranny s1 act 6 puck with heavy duty pressure plate intake, dc sport headers 4-2-1 aem timing cams ..."
Even with a good tailwind, this guy would be lucky to run under 20 seconds in the quarter (just my opinion). All he has really done is add a nice cam, head from a 1.7 liter engine and header. And all to a sub-2 liter engine. I think he's been sniffing his noxious exhaust too much. :bs :bs :bs

I agree. If you read my statements I point out the car (I owned one) is good for its intended purpose...but not as a performance machine. The thing that gets me, is the guy calls out vettes. These cars no matter how fast are simply not cool to me nor a lot of other americans.
As for the vette attitude owner. I do beleive there is something to that. I agree about not putting down other peoples rides, unless they have it coming, like this guy obviously did. I've had muscle car friends...that when we met and started hangin out, they'd say, man I never new a vette guy could be cool..I always thought you guys were snobby yuppies that didn't know how to change oil! Unfortunatley I see where this sterotype comes from. But there are mopar and ford owners that act the same way...so its not just releagated to vette people. There are alot of vette guys that like all kinds of muscle cars and such, we just like vettes best. But I just can't get into hopped up weedeaters..whenever they have it coming to them.

Yup, I agree with you in this case, but this thread made me step back for a second and forget that I own a Vette. It just reminded me of what I used to think of Vette owners until I made enough money to afford one. I loved the cars, but the guys driving 'em usually seemed pretty arrogant.
As you said though, this guy really does deserve a major reality check.
