What a sorry car... oxidized yellow paint, dirty under hood, no pictures of the interior, white out tail lights...
Only way it will beat a vette is if we put em in reverse, back up behind em, lay a towel down over our bumper, and push em over the line... ya think we could manage a 12? :jester
the real deal is look how much he claims to have into the engine. where would a Vette be with that kind of money into an engine? I mean a good 3k rebuild and a blower and the rice burner is still in first when we cross the quarter...
A few points:
- The comparison is made to a Corvette, as it sets the standard
- Regardless the amount money poured into any vehicle to make it faster than a Corvette in the 1/4 mile, it will never achieve the nostalgia, heritage, benchmarks, awards, history, legacy, etc. for which Corvette stands.
I want to laugh, but there is a video on Kazaa that shows a car just like that, doing just what the title says. It's a race between a yellow Civic SI (late 80's) putting the wood to a C5 convertible. That little "F'er" just buzzes like crazy, smokes the tires, and is gone. The Vette barely had a chance. I'd like to think the C5 driver just didn't know what he/she was doing. But I'm afraid the Vette got whooped. :U
HaHa. I think that's funny. I think think that the only category that this car would even have a chance against a vette is gas mileage, which it may have a hard time with the new vettes!!!! :nono:
