Have you checked with Willcox? He's a forum vendor, has a great selection with good prices and fantastic customer service.

Hi drc,
Since your L-68 has Holley carbs I believe you're looking for a pvc valve with the number CV746C.
Regards,
Alan

I actually think you need a 736. 390 hp and 400hp application...I'm sure but age is getting to me.
A 746 is for the 435hp and L88 application.
You can't find the correct PVC as GM replacement parts are not the same as NOS old stuff which you may find. I have an NOS 736 somewhere but don't know where I put it.
I do have a pic of an original 746 but you can pm me your email address and I can send you a pic...or go to the NCRS.org forum and search for PVC and you should find information there. I did post some original PVC's there.
Thanks, Grant

Thanks Alan and Grant for the info. Seems information I can find suggests the 746 was for Holleys and also refers to Spec Hi Performance.

Says the 736 is for Rochester carb or low HP 427.

So, since my L-68 has a cam upgrade, a Comp Cam Magnum 280, which is close to the 435 HP factory specs, I'll probably assume the 746 is the best choice.

Well, I hope I'm right.

Okay....didn't know what you did with the motor. I may have a replacement GM 746 PVC if interested.
Just pm me

Thanks, Grant

Thanks a lot Grant, although I do see Paragon has the AC DElco 746C, and I'm in the process of doing an order.

Does the 746 open with less vac then the 736?
I presume the two part #'s because of different cams and vac
lower on higher lift cams?
I pulled mine out of the valve cover still attached to the hose routed to carb base of Q-jet and it is opening fine.
I have one of them low hp 427's
If it is opening on curb idle vac probably doing its job
