1976 Flywheel
I am replacing the clutch in my 1976 corvette. I have removed the flywheel and I am trying to decide if it needs to be resurfaced.
There are no indentations or distortions on the surface.
What would be the criteria for re-surfacing the flywheel or is it just a good practice?

I would most certainly want a new surface for a new clutch disc.

I would also replace the pressure plate. That's way to much work to have to do this job over again due to an uneven surface.Good time to upgrade to a billet flywheel for future power upgrades and or safety reasons.Heard to many stories of exploding flywheels....

its good practice in any case...how often do you get the opportunity to do this? its worth the $75 for a professional job
