On my 69 E brake cable,Where the cable goes through the floor.
What protects the floor from the cable. The cable is cutting a slot in the floor..something must go in that hole.
Thanks;
Tom
Hi,
I guess it all depends on the angle the cable is at when it goes through the underbody.
On my 71 with the original e-handle mechanism, cable, pulley, and pulley bolt, there doesn't appear to have been any wear in the grommet.
I think the hole in the mounting bracket that the cable passes through helps keep it from wearing on the fiberglass and grommet too.
Regards,
Alan
