No reverse on t400

No reverse on t400

I am rebuilding a 68 conv. with a t400 trans. The trans appeared to have slick 50 in the trans fluid. It was white and milky and slick. I have flushed the trans two times and it was working fine. Now all the sudden I have no reverse. Forward works fine. Any ideas???? Thanks

When you say flushed, you mean you dropped the pan and replaced the filter?

Check your fluid level.

band is shot. all the way in the back. time for a rebuild
milky would say antifreeze. glycol will eat the friction material on the bands and clutches. check your radiator.

And it won't help the rubber seals either.
