I have a 72 convertible that I'm doing a body-off restoration on. I just installed a ZZ4 and am in a quandry over the fuel pump. The pump on the original engine had three inlets/outlets for the fuel line from the tank, the fuel return line and the line to the carb. The pump that GM sold me for the ZZ4 has only one inlet and one outlet.

Re: Wrong Fuel Pump? (Texaggie)
Nope -- pump should be good.
I also installed a ZZ4 in my 1980 (see http://temp.corvetteforum.net/c3/bseery/zz41.htm ), and replace the stock 3 port fuel pump with a Holley fuel pump.
The other line is a return line. I capped it off with a vacuum port cap (rubber cap/plug) and the car has run just fine.
