Check the transmission mount while your under there. I had a bad clunk also. Replaced snubber and broken trans mount at the same time. One or both solved the problem. BTW snubber looked fine, both parts of it. And that tranny mount can be an SOB to change...

Where and what is the "snubber"? I just never heard that term before.
