Gm makes an adjustable power steering valve that just screws into the back of the pump
The best part is you can just hook up 12 volts to is and instant stiffer steering

I believe that Flameing River makes a reduced Flow PS Pump just for this problem. Lets everybody keep in mind that this is for use with the Gen II Pump not a Pump that ever came in a C3. Oddly enough theres is the Cast Iron version and not the Aluminum one. The Pumps also have some restrictor Valves built in that one could play with. I figuered that I would let somebody else figure this out wile I worked on other projects, and I think FR has done it for me.

OK tell us how many miles on your R&P conversion. A simple search titled "steeriod problem" will bring up multiple threads in this C3 forum. I don't think.doing the same search will bring up any for the Borgeson.

I did my conversion with a new 02 grand cherokee box and a chevelle pitman. I have a big block so the plate kit wouldnt work for me(header clearance) I had to cut the frame and box it in to get everything in place. Got around $400 in the whole thing. All is good but anything over 90 mph the steering is dangerously sensitive and ive also noticed that under hard braking from high speeds it wants to wonder a bit. figure Ill add some caster and see what that does. I love it at cruise speeds though.

In a bit over ten year, I"m going to say about 60k miles...it's a DD ....

trick is, I did the rack before any kits were out, my brackets are much simpler, and seem to be hanging in there....
