If that was Photoshop, then it was an outstanding job. Not only are the shadows perfect, but they got the umbrella's shadow density separate from the car's.

Umm...the sun was behind and above the person with the camera. The "light shadow" you noted was from the more transparent umbrella. The reason that there is no shadow on the camper is that the umbrella's shadow is on the ground behind it.
Well, in the 70's, it was really popular to take your "abode" with you. Vans were outfitted to live in, etc. Putting a camper on your Corvette would take that to another level.
Now, from an engineering perspective, there needs to be another "slave" wheel under the rear of that camper.
