Default Clutch adjustment

hello - my 1st post...

I have a 76 4spd. I just finished installing a new Ram clutch and flywheel (not the HD package). I reused the original Z-bar but replaced the pushrod & pin(showing wear) which connects to the clutch fork. I reused the original clutch fork bellhousing, and pivot ball. Everything is back together but it looks as if I need to adjust the clutch. The pedal goes almost all the way to the floor before engaging the PP springs. I do not have enough threads in the pedal rod to move the location of the "swivel pin."

What other adjustments/checks can I make (preferably without having to remove the transmission again) to get this dialed in? I did make sure the clutch fork is properly located in the thowout bearing and the clutch disk is facing the correct direction - so this is not the problem.

There seems to be more free play before the bearing contacts the PP springs. I was thinking the pivot ball may need to be taller with the new PP springs. I am not sure, and did not want to take the trans back out before checking any other "easy" adjustments. I did not replace the pivot ball because it worked fine before I replaced the clutch so I thought it would still be the right height.

What other things can I check before pulling the trans back out?

Thanks in advance for any input you guys can give me.

Everything you'll need to know about clutch set up.
Chances are you'll need to remove the trans for a longer throwout bearing or adjustable pivot stud.

Sounds like that new flywheel/pressure plate requires a different throwout bearing or pivot ball. Better check with Ram.

On all those Ram clutches (and most other aftermarket clutches), I have always had to install an adjustable pivot ball and set it so it's 1/8" taller than the stock pivot ball. Then, LocTite it in place and tighten the crap out of it.
