Default Heater temperature door

Hi everybody, my heater (no AC) is not functioning because it leaks.
I have removed heater hose from the vacuum circuit in order to eliminate the leak. Is there any way I can check the position of the temperature door in order to have only cold air? Now that it's summer it is getting very hot inside!!!!

Hi ID,
I believe you'll find that the hot/cold control is a cable connection, not a vacuum connection.
On my 71 when I turn the right-side control wheel from H to C I can hear the door in the heater box open and close.
Perhaps your's still works or can be repaired?
Regards,
Alan

Alan,
you are right! A cable controls temperature door!
So I guess I should add a water valve in order to reduce hot air inside!

thank you!
