Hey guys, maybe someone can help me out here. I am installing the Vette Brake Performance package and rebuilt rear spindles.
My problem is :
My trailing arms have the 4 spindle assy bolts pressed into them so that you have to remove the e-brake to get to the nuts for removal. My new ( rebuilt ) spindles came with the 4 bolts pressed into the spindle so the bolts go through the training arm and nut is screwed in from the back of the arm. So do I remive the new bolts on the new spindle or remove the bolts on the trailong arm?
Any help would be helpful, thanks.
Thanks Mike and 7Tvette,
I removed the bolts from the trailing arm.
I did not purchase the rebuild spindle from VBP I purchased them from
Jim Stevens ( The Corvette Guys ) on ebay.
He has been rebuilding Corvette rear ends and spindles for 37 years,I got them today , they look great , top notch rebuild , run-out w/in spec's. Time will tell, 5 year warrenty. really nice guy to talk to on the phone.
$250.00 per side NO core charge and FREE shipping how can you beat that.
Now I have my cores and I can try replacing my own bearings without having to worry about using them if I screw up.
Wish this forum was easier to post pictures on .

you might want to ask Gary at V-tech about Jim Stevens and his offshore spindles.
Why don't you tell me ? Like I'm supposed to know Gary at V-tech? Instead of just throwing your 2 cents in , throw the whole nickel and give me a break , just tell me what the issue is or was.

redvetracr,
Do me a favor, next time you want to throw your 2 cents in " DON"T " if you can't follow through with your back-up info
I'm sure I will be perfectly happy with Jim Stevens rebuilt spindle assembly, 90% of all replacement spindles are produced offshore.
private message or email red to find out his opinion, not always a good idea to slam or throw a stone at someone doing business in today's world or legal sharks looking for another payday. bottom line however is if you are happy that is most important
