Advice needed on carpet
Anyone know the appropriate way to secure the carpet pieces on each side of the console in an 82. Looks like someone took it loose to run speaker wires amd now it slides down and leaves a 1/4 gap between the top of the carpet and the side of the console.

There are three screws that go through the fiberboard and into plastic inserts under the console. The inserts are oval shaped so there is some adjustments. The front one is mounted vertical so all you have to do is remove the screw, push up the side trim and reinstall the screw. The center and rear inserts at mounted horizantal so you will have to slot the hole in the fiberboard to move it up. It is a lot easier to take the seat out before you try to adjust the side panels as the screws are hard to get at with the seat in.
