Headlight Question
One of my headlights is out on my 74.. Does anyone make a different style headlight bulb/unit for the 74's?
Specifically, I wanted to know if any of the clear style light like the ones linked below would work:
http://www.jegs.com/i/Wysco/938/WA7402B/10002/-1
They dont look like they will just plug in.. As the units say they a dual wattage bulb.
Not looking for brighter or more wattage as I dont want to start buring out wires and fuses. Just a different look..
Thanks

I think that is what the car has now.. I think! (its at the muffler shop so I cant confirm)
Dont they make them with a clear glass lense and the multi-angle reflector so it looks like new stlye cars?

Correct me if I am wrong, but our lo beams are 5006 sealed units? 35watts? And were not halogen.
Then there are replacement sealed beam halogen bulbs?
Then there are replacement units that allow use of an H4 bulb?
Can our stock wiring handle the demand of the higher wattage bulb?

I have been running 4 Cibie headlights for decades. They use the H series bulbs and as long as you stick with the low range of available wattage and your headlight switch circuit breaker is in good condition you should have no issue. At the time I installed them there were no halogen sealed beams so today I would probably go with them.

Do they require relays? If so, where do the relays go? My headlight switch is just about shot and needs to be replaced anyways... I keep blowing the parking lamp fuse and I think the switch is to blame.

The 5001 and 5006 bulbs are about the same wattage as the T3 bulbs and do not require installing relays.

I have no relays, just plugged the lamps in, again using the lower wattage of H series.

Really?? I thought the factory was 35 and the H were 55 watt at the low range? Seems like a considerable jump.
The T3 Bulb is the factory style sealed beam type bulb, currect? And the 5006 is basically, the same, just halogen, correct?
