Best fuel filter ?
I had my gas tank cleaned out last year, but still have some dirt that worked its way into the carb and clogged the jets. I have one filter at the tank, its the metal can type. I want to use one more after the fuel pump, what works the best in stopping dirt? Thanks for the info.

The only fuel filter you should be using before the fuel pump is the screen type, like the one inside the tank.
I removed the the filter in the inlet of the carb and am using the Wix brand (inline metal canister filter) between the fuel pump and the carb.

I use a see-through glass filter with a replaceable element. I wrap it in Thermo-cool due to my headers, but it is in-line before the carboretor and before the fuel pressure regulator. It really lets you see when you get some gunk in the line.

get a AC GF-61P these are for 3/8" ID hose and were used on the GTO 3X2 setup. will pass all the fuel you need. :chevy

Hi Tom I'm using a napa brand clear glass ,with chrome ends and it has replacable filters (just unscrews) Since your pulling alot of crap through it for now. Had the same problem.

Would it be a good idea to remove the hose after the pump and run it for a few minuites to fill up a gas can. Would this remove any s#$@ from the lines?
