Tach nut opposite cable entry
My daughter and I were heading to see that LT-1, when suddenly, I lost my tach! :crazy: After checking out the LT-1, I restarted my car and the tach was alive again. :eek: On the way home, the tach suddenly died. :confused:
Coincidently, there was a full moon. :lol:
Anyway, I opened the hood and found the nut at the base of the tach laying on my intake manifold. I guess all the excitement from my new chambered pipes caused her to unscrew?
I picked up the nut and realized just how hot metal can get. :lol:
I noticed a cylinder protuding from where the nut goes and pushed it back into the tach. Then I cleaned the nut and put it back on. Do I need to grease this? Any harm done? The tach is functioning fine. :cheers:
