Default Weatherstripping replacement

Do the t top weatherstrips have to be stretched in place? I was dry fitting the strips and they have to be stretched so that the plastic pins can be pressed into the holes. Is this correct or dud I receive the wrong strips?

Hi T,
On my 71 the roof panel weather-strip did need to be stretched a bit during installation.
I started with the window side that has the metal retainer, then worked across the front and rear and around the corners, and finally the center.
Regards
Alan
