Default TPS Setting
Why does my TPS setting float? I set it within specs and after time, its out of spec. Replaced TPS twice so that is not the problem. Oh, it's an 82.

one reason could be that the movement inside the tps wears some everytime you move it .i found the metal arm from the tbi that the tps goes to can bend .i think the tps switches are verry cheaply made.

Poor electrical connections? Bad wiring? Poor electrical ground?

Check for linkage wear from the pedal all the way out. A stronger return spring can also help maintain the initial setting.
