Default C5 Seats / 82 C3 Project

Busy last couple of weeks ... but thought I'd share the project ......

Got the original seats pulled and cleaned up the area .... haven't ordered the carpet set as yet ... that will be another project ....

Removed the rails and electronics from the C5 seats .... due to floor restrictions on the passenger side, as not able to keep this system in place .... not to mention the mods required to make them work in the C3

Then measured and removed the OEM rails from the original seats .....

Marked and drilled new holes in the C5 frame to receive the C3 rails .....

Mounted the rails .....

Test fit the passenger side .... lookin pretty good so far .....

While the seats are out, decided to redo the console side panels (formerly covered with carpet)

and with those off thought I should go ahead and install the radio I picked up some time ago .... don't want to have to take this area apart again ... at least for a while ......

and as long as we're this far ... how bout updating the console a bit .....

Oh, and then there's that shifter plate that won't allow me to hold 1st gear .... a dremmel will make short work of this ..... since its all opened up and all ....

After preparing the drivers seat in the same way as the passenger seat .... needed to do something with the control panel on the side of both seats ... seems easy enough ..... eh ..???

Then start back together ....

And finally the seats ...... oh yeah ... that is what this was all about to begin with ...

Makes me way excited about getting the carpets done now ..... thankfully the seats come out easy, so won't have to do major work to make that happen ...

okey ... now back to tuning .... that's another post ya know ....

There are a few different suppliers. I know I used the stuff from 3M. Google 3M- DI-NOC. I got mine from sticker city.

I used Scotchprint 1080 Black Carbon Fiber vinyl wrap. Several vendors on ebay carry it .......

Looks great and good write up. When you go to finish the interior work you may want to check the pass seat belt, from the pictures it looks frayed along the edge.

Nice job, thanks for sharing!! The seat upgrade is definetly on my list of "To Do's". I like the carbon fiber touches too, especially on the console.

Looks great! I was wondering what the carbon fiber stickers would look like. Was thinking of using some on my beat up interior.
The seats are just awesome.
