gasket recommendations
what is the best way to buy gaskets ?
should i just buy a complete kit or buy them separately?
have looked at Summit for example, but the felpro QKS2600 kit dont say what part #'s they come with
so should i go felpro 1003 head 0.041x4.166, felpro 1256 intake and a felpro 2702 timing set
which/what do you think i should buy?
anything else i have over looked when doing this change over?
hope to pull the motor this time next year to do a bottom end rebuild....

(yes, i'll be buying a few beers as well for my helper)

If your L48 still has the dish pistons, and the block deck and heads are flat, not warped (not sure what is the max tolerance), I would use a rubber coated steel shim gasket to get your compression ratio as high as you can.
I believe Felpro 1094 is a head gasket commonly used and is .015" thick. This should raise your CR to about 9.3:1 if you still have the dish pistons. Just a thought.

You are switching to a longer duration cam, you need all the compression you can get.
I'd say buy the head, intake, and header gaskets that you want, and make the rest of the gaskets yourself, using the old gaskets as a template. All you need to do is buy some gasket material and an Xacto knife. And be careful! Those Xacto knives are sharp!
Keep the shiny side up!
